  GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO SERVICE TECHNICIANS

Before replacing battery; Test charger, charging regulator, charging and battery contacts.

ü

Use specified charges for each model, common charger may destroy the handset.

ü

To save stand by time, ask users to switch off mobile, while out of coverage/travelling.

ü

Ensure the handset is off, before disconnecting batteries.

ü

Remove battery from handset if not in use for more than 48 hours.

ü

Make customer aware of proper charging method of new batteries.

ü

Make customer aware not to switch on the hand set if wet and remove battery from Hand Set.

ü

Avoid charging handsets from an ordinary generator a/c output.

ü

Do not give external charge directly to the batteries except NIMH. (some batteries have internal regulator and /or vibrator)

Do not remove batteries while charging.

ü

Do not use ordinary soldering iron in main board, especially in RF stage.

ü

Make customer aware about SIM Security / Phone Security / Net work Security Factory Reset / IMEI /Manufacturing Date

Always keep the mobile phone inside the pouch.

ü

Do not allow the mobile phone to be in contact with water. Once the mobile phone becomes wet, switch off the mobile phone,  remove the battery and SIM card and contact the nearest mobile phone service center.

Always use quality battery and charger.

ü

Always switch off the mobile phone when you remove the battery.

ü

Switch off the mobile phone at all places where there is no coverage.

ü

If you are not using the mobile phone for more than two days remove the battery from the phone.

Low quality batteries, chargers and car chargers can trouble the charging system of the mobile phone.

If the battery become weak, before replacing the battery check whether the charger, charging connector and regulator is working properly.
